Name of personal data file
Company customers/ communication/marketing file.
Purpose of personal data processing
The file’s purpose is to maintain data related to the contact persons of the company’s current and potential customer/partner corporations. In this context, “corporation” also refers to associations and organisations.
The contact details are used in the management of customer and partner relationships. The contact details are also used in communication and marketing purposes related to teaching, communication training, writing, editing and proofreading. The data is processed in accordance with the Personal Data Act.
File’s data content
The file contains, for example, information of the following kind:
- The person’s first name and last name, title, position and contact details
- Contact log
- Mailing lists (related to, among other things, newsletters and training/event invitations)

The data saved in the file is obtained regularly from:
- The company and the person themselves
- Other appropriate sources
Regular disclosures of data
The data is not disclosed to third parties.
Transfer of data outside the EU or the EEA
The data is not disclosed to third parties. No data is transferred outside the EU or the EEA.
Principles of file protection
Access to the personal data file requires a personal user ID and password, provided only to a member of the controller’s personnel. The file is protected against third-party use and the use of the data is monitored.
A data subject’s right to prohibit processing
A data subject has the right to prohibit the controller from processing data concerning the data subject. The prohibition must be made in writing and addressed to the person responsible for issues related to the privacy policy.
A data subject’s right of access
A data subject has the right to access the data concerning themselves saved in the personal data file. The request for access must be made in writing and addressed to the person responsible for issues related to the privacy policy.
Rectification
At the request of a data subject, the controller must rectify, erase or supplement any personal data in the file that is erroneous, unnecessary, incomplete or obsolete in terms of the purpose of the processing. For the rectification of data, the data subject must contact the controller’s person responsible for issues related to the privacy policy.
